Country
Health SA, on the advice of the Clinical Leadership Team has
developed a Draft Project Brief for Clinical Structures in Country
Health SA.
The purpose of the Project Brief is to identify and
recommend a framework and process for the implementation of Clinical
Structures for Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health in the new
clusters in Country Health SA.
As a key stake holder, the PSA
has been requested to make comment on the Draft Project Brief by the
end of May 2008.
Once the Project brief has been finalized a
detailed implementation plan will be developed and work within time
lines identified in the draft brief.
Steve Glover, Project
Manager, will commence preliminary work on the project. A team of
project staff and clinicians will shortly be appointed to ensure that
there is clinical input at all levels and at every stage of the
project.
Consultation Process
A
key component of the project will be an extensive consultation
process on the project brief itself and then on the
implementation.
First Stage
The
first stage will be to seek staff, Industrial Body (PSA) and
professional body comment on the project brief.
Second
Stage
The
second stage will be to put in place structures that enable key
stakeholders to contribute to the work of the project.
Reference
Groups will be established in the following areas, Industrial,Allied
Health, Medical,Nursing,Consumer, Local Boards, and from July 2008
Health Advisory Council.
Country
Health SA groups will also have a key role. In particular, the
Clinical Governance Committee, Country Health SA Industrial Liaison
Committee, and the Rural Doctors Reference Group.
