STOP WORK ACTION

The PSA is participating in negotiations with the Government for a new Enterprise Agreement for school based staff.

On Tuesday 17 June 2008, there will be a 24 hour stop work action held as part of a campaign to put pressure on the Government to improve their current Enterprise Bargaining offer.

The current offer does not address the Unions claims and concerns and the 3.25% pa wage increase over 3 years currently offered, is less than the inflation rate.

PSA members are encouraged to support the Industrial Action by participating in the march to Parliament House where a rally will be held. Members should assemble at Rymill Park at 10.15am for a 10.45am start to the march.

PSA members who nominate not to be involved with the action should not cross any picket lines or undertake any duties of staff taking action.

For further information please contact PSA Industrial Officer, Kerrin Martin on 8205 3292 or kjm@cpsu.asn.au, or PSA Industrial Officer, Alan Wheeldon on 8205 3204 or avw@cpsu.asn.au
