REPORT ON FAMILIES SA WORKLOAD CAMPAIGN

The first meeting of the Families SA Working Party on workloads and resourcing was held on Thursday 24 July at the Public Service Association (PSA). Those in attendance were PSA Chief Industrial Officer Peter Christopher, PSA Industrial Officers Vanessa Ravenhill and Ken Smith and Families SA Worksite Representatives Ralph Burgess, Emily Richichi, Sandra Ciantar, and Fred Becker (by teleconference).

The meeting was advised that a meeting with Minister Weatherill's Chief of Staff had been arranged for the following Wednesday. However, given the ministerial reshuffle that had now taken place, this meeting would not proceed and a meeting with Minister Rankine or her representative would be arranged for another time. The view of the meeting was that substantial work needed to be done to enable a detailed presentation for the meeting, particularly as a new Minister was involved.

All
Worksite Representatives will also be encouraged to meet with members to gather relevant information.

The Working Party agreed to reconvene in two weeks time to compile all relevant information.
