FAMILIES SA PAYCYCLE DECISION

The Public Service Association (PSA) attended a voluntary conference with representatives from the Department for Families and Communities (DFC) in the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia (IRCSA) on Monday 4th August 2008. Commissioner Bartel heard the submissions from each party and provided the following advice and guidance.

  • Members can still seek the interest free loan of $600

  • Members suffering from hardship can ask DFC for an increase to the loan. Evidence of hardship must be presented. However, due to the private nature of such a request, the PSA advises members wishing to access a further increase to seek PSA assistance.

  • Those members who do not receive the full amount of the $600 loan but still require the full amount, should contact the PSA or Payroll Services.

  • Those members subjected to any fee or charge due to the change to pay days please contact the PSA or Payroll Services. Evidence must be provided to be reimbursed.

If members have any questions please contact your Worksite Representative or Industrial Officer Jean-Guy Townsend on 8205 3233 or jgt@cpsu.asn.au
