KEEP EMPLOYEE SERVICES IN HEALTH UNITS AND HOSPITALS

The PSA is concerned about the Government's planned move of Payroll Services, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, HR and Procurement to the Shared Services Unit of the Department of Treasury and Finance in the city.  Information Technology (IT) is also under consideration.  (www.sharedservices.sa.gov.au/)

The move of Payroll Services and Accounts out of Hospitals and  into the CBD is imminent, and planned to occur on 24 November, 1 December and 8 December 2008.

In addition to PSA's concerns for the financial losses and inconveniences that will be incurred by members “in scope” there is the concern that such a move would be to the detriment of all hospital employees.

Payroll and financial employees have always been part of the hospital community, are available to all employees and understand and appreciate the environment in which they work.

Members will be attending a meeting at the PSA on Friday 19 September at 12.30pm to determine action in pursuit of their claims.

Please understand and support any action PSA members decide to take.
