PSA Industrial Officers Michael Thorpe and Ian Peak attended a presentation of the Talent & Career Management System by Bridgid Connors, Director, People Management & Development and other Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) staff on Friday 26 September 2008.

The PSA notes that this replaces the current paper based system of Performance Management and is intended to apply to all of the 1,300 staff (except for casuals) employed by DPC.

All staff will attend a 3 hour training session on how to use this computerised system.

The PSA understands that staff have already been consulted about the introduction of this system and that there will be a review.

DPC advised the PSA that they welcome feedback from employees on this system either direct or through the PSA.
