PIRSA CONSULTATION UPDATE

PSA Assistant General Secretary Nev Kitchin and PSA Worksite Representative John Callaghan met with Chief Executive Officer Geoff Knight, Don Plowman Deputy Chief Executive Primary Industries and Biosecurity, Erma Ranieri Director of Organisational Change and Development and Steve Archer Deputy Chief Executive Governance and Performance to discuss a range of PIRSA issues. The topics included the Biosecurity review, TVSP process, Business Support review, issues with grant funded positions and general HR discussion around the PIRSA Change Management policy.

PIRSA have already met their target number of 75 TVSP's for the 09/10 year (the first round) with more applicants than TVSP's available. After this first round PSA members should monitor their workloads to ensure the department conforms with the award provisions of the Enterprise Agreement. Apart from natural attrition there are currently no anticipated staff losses in the biosecurity review and no particular relocation plans.

In relation to a review of Regional Offices, there is no current information to suggest that any Regional Offices will close. The only staff losses anticipated in Regional areas are as a result of TVSP's.

A reminder that with the next Enterprise Bargaining round to begin shortly members should be aware of who are their PSA Worksite Representatives.

If you are in an area without representation please contact Nev Kitchin for more information.
