PROCUREMENT
AND SUPPLY CHAIN CONSOLIDATION PROJECT
INFORMATION
UPDATE JULY 2009
The
PSA met recently with the Department of Health (DH) Procurement and
Supply Chain Project Team, the following was raised at the meeting:
-
Letters
will be sent to all in scope staff soon regarding the transition to
the DH payroll. The first DH payday is planned for 24 September
2009.

On
receipt of the payroll transition letters members may need to
contact financial providers they use to change direct debit details
etc. as required.

There
will be no change to the current salary sacrifice provisions.
-
All
leave credits will be transferred across to DH.
-
Employees
transferring to DH will receive two Employer Payment Summaries for
financial year 09/10.

DH
is negotiating with Department of Treasury and Finance regarding
TVSP's. DH stated that they have not determined how many positions,
if any, may be redundant. DH also stated that members may advise
their manager should they be interested in a TVSP offer.
- For
most members' reporting lines have not changed, some senior
procurement and supply staff are now reporting direct to DH.

Various
contractors such as Spotless will be consulted with regard to how
the changes affect them.
