Senior PSA Officials, met new Opposition Leader, Isobel Redmond on Monday 10th August. The PSA was represented by President Lindsay Oxlad, General Secretary Jan McMahon and Chief Industrial Officer Peter Christopher.

The PSA took the opportunity to explain the areas of interest that the Association represents and the varied range of work which members undertake throughout the Public Sector and throughout the State.

Issues which were discussed included the importance of job security, the important role of the Legislative Council, ongoing consultation and Shared Services. The PSA particularly highlighted the need for an adequately resourced Public Sector, and the skill loss occurring through the Government's staff cuts.

The meeting was of an introductory nature and many of the items discussed will be the subject of future detailed discussion.
