SA PATHOLOGY DRAFT ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE CONSULTATION PROCESS

On Friday 28 August 2009 the Public Service Association received the draft organisational structures, which are now out for consultation. The drafts are available on the SA Pathology Intranet.

The draft documents received are for the following areas of:

  • Automated Laboratories

  • Haematology

  • Immunology

  • Chemical Pathology

  • Surgical Pathology

  • Cytopathology

  • Microbiology & Infectious Diseases

  • Regional Services

  • Corporate Services

The PSA has raised concerns about the short consultation period, which concludes on 11 September 2009, as the unions will not be receiving a briefing until the next Industrial Relations Forum scheduled for 8 September 2009. This does not provide adequate time for members to consider the draft structures and to respond with any concerns or comments.

The PSA understands that there have been simultaneous staff information sessions occurring across all the work sites in SA Pathology. PSA members who have concerns or questions about these draft organisational structures are urged to raise them with management by close of business on 11 September 2009.
