TRANSFER OF POSITIONS TO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
The PSA has received written notification from the Executive Director, Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA) regarding the proposed transfer of five positions from the Therapeutic Goods component of Pharmaceutical Services within DASSA to Public Health and Clinical Co-ordination within the Department of Health. DASSA advise that initial discussions have commenced with staff and that further discussions regarding the impact of the proposed transfers will occur with the employees affected by this change. The South Australian Government Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement 2006 at Clause 22 outlines the consultative principles to be followed in regard to change affecting employees. Clause 22.1.2 advises that Employers and Agencies consult in good faith, not simply advise what will be done. Clause 22.1.1 states “consultation involves the sharing of information and the exchange of views between employers and persons or bodies that must be consulted and the genuine opportunity for them to contribute effectively to any decision making process”.
