The Public Service Association (PSA) met with DECS on Wednesday 16 September 2009, regarding PSA issues about the future of SA Government Paediatrics Speech Pathology Service in South Australia from 2010.

DECS Management has now convened a meeting of DECS Speech Pathologists for Monday 21 September 2009, to which the PSA has been invited, at which details are expected to be provided.

As a result of information from members in Health that there was a proposal to establish a state wide service under the auspices of Health, the PSA sought a meeting with Department of Health. There has been no response from Health.

There has been no formal consultation with the PSA on any proposed changes to the delivery of Government Speech Pathology Services nor any agreements reached.

The PSA will be holding a meeting of all DECS Speech Pathologists to discuss the outcomes of Monday's meeting.
