ENVIRONMENT AND HERITAGE COMPETENCY BASED JOB DESIGN
The
Public Service Association (PSA) has
been recently informed that the Department for Environment and
Heritage (DEH) is proposing to implement outcome and competency based
job design during 2009/ 10.
The proposal is to initially focus on supervisors and managers and then be applied to staff. DEH is proposing to implement this strategy as a result of 2008 workforce planning which identified role clarity, through outcome and competency based job design, as a key driver for improved individual and organisational performance. The PSA will be meeting with DEH Human Resources to consult on this matter. Any members seeking to contribute to this process are urged to contact the PSA.
