The Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia today certified the "Parity" Enterprise Agreement.

PSA General Secretary Jan McMahon described the two and a half year Agreement as a good outcome of extensive negotiations.

As a total package the Agreement delivers:

- a 2.5% annual pay increase, backdated to 1 October 2009
- a one off $600 payment
- job security and protection of existing conditions
- improvements to maternity leave and penalty payments
- no loss of Flexi time hours if management cannot release its staff
- improvements to TOIL
- a significantly improved new classification and pay structure for Allied Health Professionals.


The Agreement received 86% support in a ballot which ended just prior to Christmas.

Ms McMahon described the Agreement, which was achieved without a dispute, as the right outcome for the times.
