MINDA INCORPORATED ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT NO. 7 – 2010 VOTING PROCESS BEGINS

PSA members can access a full copy of the Enterprise Agreement No. 7 (EA 7) and is available to members at their workplace and via the Minda Portal for those members with computer access.

The offer contains the following key features:

  • A 2 year Agreement with increases totalling 5.5% by July 2010

  • 1% Strong Community Healthy State (SCHS) indexation already paid from July 2009

  • 2% to be back paid from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2009 when the agreement is approved by Fair Work Australia

  • 2.5% for all employees from July 2010 which is the second year of the Agreement (includes 0.5% SCHS indexation for 2010/11)

  • An additional 1.5% increase from July 2009 for Allied Health Professionals i.e. all staff under the PSO Classification

  • A $250 one off 'acceptance bonus', payable when the Agreement is approved by Fair Work Australia

  • A 2 year Agreement which will expire 30 June 2011

  • 5 weeks leave and 20% Leave Loading for shift workers (who are not on the 7 day roster)

  • Overtime payments when meal breaks are unable to be taken

  • 8 weeks paid Maternity and Adoption Leave

  • Improved Redundancy provisions for employees with at least 7 years but less than 10 years service (no change from EA 6 entitlements for those with at least 10 years service)

  • The majority of positions covered by the Agreement will now have a job role description and classification structure defined by the Agreement

  • Flexible Annual Leave provisions including the ability to request Leave at half pay and no restrictions on single days or weekly blocks of leave

A schedule of employee information sessions has been arranged to explain the terms of the Agreement, the times and locations of meeting will be advised to all staff covered by the Agreement via the staff communique. All PSA members are encouraged to attend these information sessions.

The PSA has been advised by Minda that there is a technical error in the proposed ballot process. As a result Minda will be informing employees who are eligible to vote that the current ballot is cancelled and Minda will be commencing a second ballot in accordance with section 180 of the Fair Work Act 2009.
