FAMILIES SA CRISIS RESPONSE UNIT MEMBERS GAIN A COMMITMENT TO ON GROUND SUPPORT WITH C3MS

A delegation of Public Service Association (PSA) members from Crisis Response Unit (CRU) and PSA Industrial Officer Vanessa Ravenhill met with Department for Families and Communities (DFC) representatives to review the proposals tabled by the department at a meeting held on 18 February 2010.

The following outcomes have been achieved as a result of the commitment of PSA members  to participate in an industrial campaign:

* DFC has agreed to fund 2 on ground support staff for 7 days a week, for a further 6 months,  plus a data entry officer to assist in transferring and creating information in C3MS

* staff have participated in a measurement exercise of the Intake and Assessment process to identify any training and practice issues

*interviews with staff have occurred and data collected

* the identified significant issues groups have met and an update provided

* appropriate penalties and payments have been paid where staff have been required to work additional hours

A report was tabled incorporating all collated data. PSA requested that the Report, once finalised, be presented to all staff.

PSA reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all members work in a healthy and safe environment during the roll out of the Connected Client and Case Management System (C3MS).
