The Public Service Association (PSA) is participating in a series of consultative working groups that have been established in order to implement the recommendations arising from the Community Mental Health Services Review 2008 and the Stepping Up Report for adult mental health services.

The designated consultative groups are:

• Practice & Protocol Development Group;

• Workforce Training Development and Transition Group; and

• ICT Finance and Asset Procurement Group

In the Terms of Reference for the Workforce Training Development and Transition Group one of the key responsibilities is the development of a set of Human Resource Principles. These principles will guide SA Health staff, currently employed across Mental Health Services in Central Northern Adelaide Health Service (CNAHS) and Southern Adelaide Health Service (SAHS) (both of whom from 1 July 2010 will become the new Adelaide Health Service), in the transition into the new organisational structures for the six areas once approved.

The PSA, ANF and SASMOA have now agreed for the revised draft HR Principles to be sent out for wider consultation with members.
