DTEI ENGINEER REMUNERATION REVIEW CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE
BACKGROUND:
A requirement of theSouth Australian Government
Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement 2010 (Clause 28.1.1),is
for DTEI to conduct a review which (in part) requires that: "By no
later than 31 December 2010, the Chief Executive of DTEI will ......
have completed a genuine consultative review of the remuneration
arrangements applying to professional engineers."
To comply with this requirement DTEI has established the
“Engineer Remuneration Review Consultative Committee”
(Committee) to ensure all affected parties will be consulted and have
the opportunity to make relevant submissions to be considered in the
Review.
The Committee has convened and agreed the Committee representation, the
Terms of Reference, and is now seeking submissions from interested
parties in DTEI.
WHERE TO FROM HERE ?
The PSA presented the Committee a written submission
encompassing the matters the PSA considers must be included into the
review of the “remuneration arrangements”, namely DTEI's
current Recruitment and Retention policies and how those policies may
be further developed to the mutual benefit of both DTEI and the
engineers.
Given the importance of the review to PSA members employed as
professional engineers in DTEI, the PSA now seeks your assistance as
active participants on the Committee to ensure the matters that concern
you and your colleagues are not overlooked.
So the PSA seeks the nomination of two PSA members employed as
engineers in DTEI to join the review Committee to represent PSA members
in conjunction with PSA President Lindsay Oxlad and Senior PSA
Industrial Officer Mike Thorpe.
If you're interested in actively participating in the committee process
the PSA welcomes your inquiry by contacting either Mike Thorpe, or
Lindsay Oxlad.
