This inquiry is part of the plan to introduce a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

PSA members working in disability areas are probably aware that there is a public hearing planned for Adelaide at the Stamford Plaza on Wednesday 16 June 2010.  Those wishing to participate are urged to register their interest on the website www.pc.gov.au/projects/inquiry/disability-support

The PSA is participating in this inquiry via our Federal Office (CPSU-SPSF Group) who will submit a joint submission from all state branches.  PSA Industrial Officer Sue Cummins is on this committee and welcomes any written comments from PSA members.

The time line for written submissions has now been extended until 16 August 2010 by the Productivity Commission.
