CONSULTATION ON DRAFT SA HEALTH FALL AND FALL INJURY PREVENTION POLICY DIRECTIVE, GUIDELINE AND TOOLKIT
The SA
Health Safety and Quality Unit has invited feedback from the Public
Service Association (PSA) regarding the draft SA Health Fall and Fall
Injury Prevention Policy Directive, Guideline and Toolkit
documents.
The SA Fall and Fall Injury Advisory Group was established in
February 2009, to provide guidance to the SA Health Safety and Quality
Committee around the prevention and management of falls and fall
related injury. Falls are the highest incidents occuring during care
and falls with injury among older people in the community and
residential aged care are responsible for over 9,000 admissions to
hospital annually.

for review and feedback. PSA members who wish to provide feedback
to the PSA should email PSA Industrial Officer, Ms Kerrin Martin, kjm@cpsu.asn.au
by close of business, Monday 14th February, 2011. PSA members can
provide feedback directly to the Department of Health via email to Michele.Sutherland@health.sa.gov.au
