The High Court Case got under way this morning before the enlarged Full Bench, comprised of all 7 Judges.

The Bar Table comprised of 23 legal representatives.  The PSA Application was supported by the Commonwealth Government.  The South Australian Government was supported by Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland.

The PSA's legal team comprised of Mr Paul Heywood-Smith, QC, Peter Moloney and Martin Hynes.  Senior PSA officials in attendance were President, Lindsay Oxlad, General Secretary, Jan McMahon and Chief Industrial Officer, Peter Christopher.

The Bench actively sought extensive clarification.  The Case has now concluded with the Bench reserving its decision.

The PSA Case was well presented and, without prejudging any decision, seemed well received by the Bench.
