ENTERPRISE BARGAINING - INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION UPDATE

The PSA and Government representatives attended a further Voluntary Conference before Commissioner Doyle in the SA Industrial Relations Commission on Tuesday 29th June 2004.

The PSA was disappointed that the Government representatives failed to improve any aspects of the current Government offer. The PSA is now awaiting recommendations from Commissioner Doyle which are expected to address the urgency of the ballot process.

In view of the Government's unwillingness to satisfy members' reasonable claim it leaves no alternative but for the PSA to recommend that members VOTE NO.

Considering the most recent Government offer to Nurses the Government's offer of 4% to some workers and 3.5% to others is not fair or equitable.

A further update will be provided once the Commission's recommendations are received.
