GETS IT WRONG AGAIN
Many members have contacted PSA
yesterday and today after failing to receive ballot papers.Members will recall that during Industrial Relations Commission proceedings PSA expressed concern with the preparation of Electoral Rolls in the past and the likelihood of problems in the current ballot. Government representatives provided assurances that satisfactory arrangements had been made. Government got it wrong again. In response to a PSA letter this morning, Government has advised that an additional 4,007 ballots have been posted following the provision of supplementary Rolls to the State Electoral Office. PSA finds it astounding that despite PSA having raised concerns prior to the ballot, it has been possible for Government to make a mistake of this magnitude. As the ballot closes at 9.00am on Monday, 16 August 2004, it is strongly recommended that employees receiving late ballot papers post them directly in Australia Post mail boxes, thus avoiding any internal delays. IT
IS IMPORTANT TO VOTE, AND VOTE NO!
