The
Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia has advised that
the Full Bench will hand down its decision in relation to the
Salaries Arbitration Case at 12 noon, Thursday, 7 July 2005.
Members
will recall that the PSA has claimed 12% over 2 years configured as
6% October 2004 and 6% October 2005. PSA has proposed that a new
claim be able to be pursued from late 2005, i.e. 2 years from the
expiration of the last Parity Agreement.
Government
has argued for 3.5% / 4.0% from October 2004 and October 2005, but
does not want any new claim to be lodged until October 2006. The
effect of the Government's position would be to spread the 7% or 8%
over a 3 year period.
PSA
will immediately inform members of the decision.
