DEPARTMENT FOR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES SECURITY OUTCOME PSA met with Department for Families & Communities Chief Executive, Sue Vardon today in respect to security issues. The PSA was represented by Assistant General Secretary, Nev Kitchin and the Chair of the Worksite Representatives Committee, Lesley Burford. The meeting arose from concerns over a proposal to revise security arrangements within Riverside Building and potentially DFC more generally. A PSA membership meeting on Monday 7th November 2005 identified a significant number of issues which were discussed in detail today. The 7th November meeting was attended by PSA General Secretary, Jan McMahon and Assistant General Secretary, Nev Kitchin. At that meeting members overwhelmingly rejected the Department's first draft proposal. The outcome of today's meeting was very positive with PSA achieving the following;
