RECLASSIFICATION CONFIRMED
Early this morning, the PSA was advised that the Department of Health will honour the General Manager, Flinders Medical Centre's decision to reclassify Radiographers, Sonographers and Technicians in Medical Imaging.

Last Friday the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission recommended that the decision of the General Manager, Flinders Medical Centre be implemented, following the notification of a dispute by the PSA.

This is a very significant win for this group of Professionals at Flinders Medical Centre. An increase in wages for these Professionals which reflects and recognises the skills and level of experience, is a fair outcome.

This decision will enable Flinders Medical Centre to retain and attract Professional Medical Imaging staff.

Yet again, it was the PSA that took on this matter without hesitation and delivered an outcome that has benefits for some 76 staff at Flinders Medical Centre. The PSA continues to be the most active and member driven Union for Health Professionals.
