Program

Take advantage of the 10 days Trade Union Training Leave every two years you are entitled to under your Award conditions and attend any of following courses. We hope that you can use the information gained to make your workplace happier, more productive and safer. PSA as your union, is committed to providing you with support and encouragement and opportunities. These courses are designed to help you in your employment - there is a lot we can achieve together.

Reclassification Pt.1 - For all members including universities

Date: 23 May, 16 August, 15 November
Time: 9.30 am - 4.30 pm

If you believe your job should be reclassified the first thing to do is to find out what your chances of success are. These courses provide practical assistance on how to prepare and lodge an application for reclassification. This course covers all classification levels and criteria for all members in all agencies, including universities. If you cannot attend these courses but would like more information or if any particular group/s would like a specific course for a group of members please do not hesitate to contact mw@cpsu.asn.au

If you have your reclassification application completed or partially completed, or if you have attended a Reclassification Course Pt.1 previously, this is a follow up session to work through your written application. Please bring your completed or partially completed applications to the course on a USB.

Super SA - Insurances

Most of us don’t like to think about it but death, injury and illness are all part of life. If one of these events happened to you, how would you or your family cope? It’s time to take a look at super from the ground up. After all, super is not just a great foundation for your retirement plans, it can play a major part in your financial security today. This seminar gives you the basics, in language you can understand.
You’ll learn what super is, how it can benefit you and what you can do to make the most of it.
